This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform and services.

Alternaly Inc. is registered as an exempt market dealer and holds OPC permits as a money lender (permis de prêteur d'argent) and high-cost credit merchant (commerçant qui conclut un contrat de crédit à coût élevé) in Quebec, Canada. Alternaly LLC provides the platform technology and operates globally. The applicable entity depends on your location and the services you use.

  • Financial Information: Loan details, payment history, credit information, and banking details for pre-authorized debits (when using the full platform).
  • Identity Verification: Government-issued ID, proof of address, and employment information for loan applications.

  • Usage Data: How you interact with our platform, features used, and preferences.

  • Calculator Data: The loan calculator is anonymous and does not store any personal information.

However, withdrawing consent may limit your ability to use certain features of our platform. For anonymous use of our calculator, no consent is required as no personal information is collected.

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations (including financial record-keeping requirements), and to resolve disputes. Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 7 years after closure to comply with financial regulations. You may request deletion of your data subject to legal retention requirements.

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (Hostinger VPS). As required by Law 25, we inform you that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (SSL/TLS), secure authentication, access controls, regular security audits, and employee training on data protection. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
